Repair & Alteration Disclaimer
Every repair and alteration is approached with care, skill and respect for the original product. Leather equestrian footwear is designed to be worn, worked and enjoyed, but its condition, construction and age can affect the outcome of any repair. Please read the following terms before submitting a product to Hello Quality Equestrian.
1. Assessment and repair risk
Before work begins, we assess the product, its materials, construction and condition. We will recommend the most appropriate repair or alteration based on that assessment.
Although every reasonable care is taken, repair and alteration work carries an inherent risk of damage, further deterioration or an outcome that differs from the original appearance. This is particularly true where leather is aged, weakened, cracked, previously altered, water-damaged or structurally compromised.
2. The repair outcome
Repair or alteration work is intended to improve the product’s usability, appearance or fit. We cannot guarantee that a repaired item will return to its original condition, appearance or performance, or that the finished result will meet a customer’s preferred aesthetic in every respect.
We will, however, apply our professional judgement and make every reasonable effort to deliver a careful, practical and high-quality result.
3. Warranty on our work
We provide a 12-month warranty on our repair and alteration workmanship. This warranty relates to the work carried out by Hello Quality Equestrian and does not cover ordinary wear, misuse, accident, neglect, further deterioration of the original materials, or damage caused after collection or delivery.
If you believe there is an issue with the workmanship, please contact us promptly so that we can assess the matter and determine the appropriate next step.
4. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for loss or damage arising directly from a repair or alteration is limited to the amount paid for the relevant repair or alteration. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss.
Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits any consumer right or legal protection that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
5. Ownership and authority
By submitting a product to us, you confirm that you are the owner of the product or that you have the owner’s permission to arrange its repair or alteration. You agree not to submit property without the appropriate authority.
6. Payment and collection
Payment is due when the repaired or altered product is collected, or before dispatch where delivery has been arranged. Any additional work or change to the agreed scope will be discussed and approved before it is undertaken where reasonably practicable.
7. Dispute resolution
We encourage customers to contact us first so that any concern can be reviewed and resolved professionally. Where a dispute cannot be resolved directly, it will be addressed in accordance with applicable South African law and any legally required dispute-resolution process.
8. Acceptance of these terms
By proceeding with a repair or alteration, you confirm that you have read and understood this disclaimer and agree to its terms. If you have questions about the condition of your product, the proposed work or the likely outcome, please ask us before approving the repair.
Quality leather deserves thoughtful care. Our aim is to extend the useful life of your footwear while treating every product with the attention it deserves.
